Delete your PencePal account

In the app

1. Open Settings, then your account.
2. Choose Delete account.
3. Read what will be deleted, type DELETE, and confirm.

On the website

1. Sign in at pencepal.com and open Account.
2. Under Delete account, type DELETE and choose Delete my account.

If you want a copy of your records, use Download my data on the same page first: once the account is deleted, nothing can be recovered.

What is deleted, and when

• At once: your account, profile and business name, your password and linked Apple or Google sign-in, every expense, doc, mileage trip, category and payment type, and every signed-in device and AI connector. You are signed out everywhere.
• Within minutes: every receipt file is deleted from storage, so receipt links you have shared stop working; your Sign in with Apple grant is revoked, so PencePal disappears from your Apple ID's list of apps; your subscription record at RevenueCat is deleted; and we email you to confirm.
• Backups: if the database is backed up, the account remains in those copies until they expire; how long that is will be stated in the privacy policy.

Nothing is kept for marketing, and nothing about you is passed on.

If you subscribe to PencePal Pro

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. The App Store or Google Play keeps billing you until you cancel it there: App Store subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions. Cancel it before you delete your account.

If you cannot sign in

Email [email protected] from the address on your PencePal account, asking us to delete it. We check that the request comes from the account's owner, delete the account as above, and confirm by email. If you have forgotten your password, you can also choose “Forgot password?” on the sign-in page and then delete the account yourself.
