Email [email protected], from the address on your PencePal account if you can, and say whether you use the iPhone or iPad app, the Android app or the website. Never send us your password or a code.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Settings, then your account, then Delete account. On the website, sign in, open Account, and use Delete account at the bottom. Either way you type DELETE to confirm, and everything goes at once. What is deleted, and what to do if you cannot sign in.
How do I get a copy of my data?
On the website, sign in, open Account and choose Download my data; in the app, use Export in your account settings. You get one JSON file with your profile, payment types, categories, expenses with their receipt links, docs and mileage trips. A doc's PDF, with its receipt links, is on the doc's page.
I bought PencePal Pro. How do I get it on a new phone?
Sign in to PencePal with the same account, then open PencePal Pro and choose Restore purchases while signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you bought with. Pro belongs to your PencePal account, so it also shows on the website.
How do I cancel PencePal Pro?
In the store you bought it from: App Store subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions. We cannot cancel it for you, and deleting your PencePal account does not cancel it. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
I have forgotten my password
Choose “Forgot password?” on the sign-in page. We email you a code; choosing a new password signs you out on your other devices. If you signed up with Apple or Google, you can keep signing in that way, or set a password the same way.
I lost my phone
Sign in on the website, open Account, and sign the phone out under Signed-in sessions. It is signed out on its next request. Then change your password if you think anyone else knows it.
Who can open my receipt links?
Anyone who has a link can open that one file, which is how your accountant opens the receipts in a PDF you send. The links cannot be guessed, and we never publish them. To stop a link working, delete the receipt. More in the privacy policy.
